THE LEGENDS TOM KERR
"SOME of the world's best retired jockey's - and LUKE HARVEY - are set to steal the show at Doncaster today when they contest the second LEGER LEGENDS race. The race, sponsored by Clipper Logistics this year, raising money for the Injured Jockeys' Fund rehabilitation
centre in Malton-, the House that Jack Built - and redevelopment of the Northern Racing College. Last year’s winner CHARLIE SWAN bids to follow up riding Ed de Giles’s SKYFIRE but the Racing Post’s own TOM O’RYAN has leading claims on the Tim Walford –trained TALANT SCOUT- and he’s determined to make up for lost time after missing last year’s race
because of illness. “I was gutted because I’m never ill,” said O’RYAN. “I was back riding out again five day’ later and I can’t remember the last time I was ill.”
“TALENT SCOUT, disputing favouritism with the JULIE KRONE–ridden INVINCIBLE  HERO, is the winner of his last two races and a rare progressive runner in a generally exposed field. And in O’RYAN , the five-year-old has a rider who certainly sustains the
winning mentality. "I’d give my right arm to win it,” O’RYAN  said. “It’s a huge thrill –anyone who ‘s ever ridden in a race knows what a thrill it is. And all those guys and gals have achieved so much more than me – Its an honour to be riding in such a race.”

All have achieved bloodhorse literacy, all have given their lives and still give their lives to support the world wide sport of horseracing.

All have been taken for granted each and every day of their careers by the regulators of British horseracing, regulators who have no idea that such a thing as bloodhorse literacy exists  even. As neither do these regulators together with successive British governments know what the word care or caring actually means either.
