“FORMER Channel 4 presenter
John Francome yesterday warned that racing faces an uphill task to recapture
the viewers lost in recent years – and he expressed fears that the new deal
with ITV may be racing’s last, such has been the decline in audiences of late.
“Whoever has the task of
getting the viewers figures back up has a big job on their hands, Francome
said. “I think they have got a long uphill struggle. They have let it go a long
way, and it won’t be the biggest surprise if this is the last TV contract
racing gets. “
“Francome was speaking a day

for four years from January 2017 in a £30 million deal, news the Racing Post

cliff I can understand why racing would be looking at trying to do something
about it.” He said.
“ITV has got quite an interesting portfolio of
sports. It has changed a lot in the last two or three years, and it seems very
keen and hungry to make a success of it, which can only be good for racing. "
JMC: On the agenda at present the aim is to encourage as many people as possible to take up an interest in the sport, to go racing on their days off, on their holidays. Somewhere you can get a decent meal, and have a drink. Do something different.

What makes the interest in a true bloodhorse
literate horseracing program? Some people may find CH4 horseracing program guide,
