Meet the young artist Ayesha Mahmood whose regal creation was crowned the winning design in a nationwide hunt for a birthday cover fit for our Queen at 90.


“Beaming Ayesha Mahmood has been crowned the winner of our Queen’s 90th birthday Radio Times cover competition after her design was picked by our panel of judges to make the cover of this week’s special issue of Radio Times” .

“Ayesha (eight years old when she painted her crown) was one of more than 11,000 children from across the country who took part in the competition. She could barely contain he excitement when we surprised her at school in Bradford with the good news. “
