True Global Rules of Horseracing
Urgently in need of Equus Zone Intelligence
to strike out the evil punishment burdened upon Martin Dwyer (GB)
by the Royal Western India Turf Club and the British Horseracing Authority
and so many others who have suffered the same worldwide scorn to include the horses

"Theatre of the absurd"

John Gosden takes issue with Kingman's 2,000 Guineas price.

Top Equus, Global Horseman John Gosden a licensed British Flat Turf trainer sends this warning, as reported in today's Racing Post by Lewis Porteous"

Gosden dismissive of Kingman's 'ridiculous' price for Guineas.
"JOHN GOSDEN has labelled Qipco 2,000 Guineas quotes of as low as 5-1 about Saturday's Betfred Mobile Solario Stakes runner Kingman is something for "the theatre of the absurd" .

"Kingman burst into the reckoning for next year's Classic with a six-length success on his debut in a Newmarket maiden at the end of June but Gosden yesterday ridiculed his position at the head of the Guineas market.

"The champion trainer said: "We've seen many times maiden winners elevated to favourites for Classics and had another example this year with Telescope. I realise racing is a great triviality but to me this is the theatre of the absurd.

"As far as I am concerned he won his maiden by beating a second- string filly {Adhwaa} wearing her owner's {Sheikh Hamdan} second colours, who did go and win a maiden but has since been exposed at her level. So I find the whole thing faintly ridiculous. "

"Kingman, one of only two of the 11 entries for Saturday's Sandown Group 3 to have raced just once, could face stiff opposition from the likes of Godolphin's Music Theory, officially rated 105 after winning a conditions race by nine lengths on his last start, and Richard Hannon's Ascot Listed winner Washaar.

"Gosden believes a much better idea of his colt's future will be gleaned in Saturday's race.

He said: "I regard it as a race that will bring the horse on. From my point of view, when a maiden takes on winners and moves up a step that's when you find out where you are, so I find all this hype absurd. "

"Coral cut Kingman to 6-1 from 8-1 this week and put those contracting odds down to sheer weight of money.

"Spokesman David Stevens said: "As a typically well-bred Juddmonte runner, we felt an opening Guineas quote of 14-1 was fair on the back of that sixth length success, and punters clearly agree. We laid him at 14-1, then again at 10-1 and 8-1, forcing the latest cut to 6-1 ahead of his run at Sandown this weekend.

"He's in good hands, looking smart on the track and is bred in the purple, but ultimately we react to money and it's that support that has pushed his price down to the current 6-1. "
