ITV4 OPENING SHOW MAGAZINE: JOIN-UP:

JMC: We do not want our little babies having to
experience the terror of war,  anytime in their lives.
We come into this world fragile and helpless.
next the human journey:
Many of us leave this world fragile and helpless.

JMC: As babies we enter this world inheriting
the times we are born in. A world
developed and gifted to us by others.
We owe everything before we own anything.

JMC: Religious Literacy is all about decent human rights, yours, and mine.
The mother who bore you, the author of your own life.
Is your mindset in tune with the Holy Spirit today and every day?

JMC:  There are times when we have to work at
understanding our own intentions and behavior
because we are a puzzle even to ourselves.
Families may find there is not much common ground
between any of them. Their career skills
can divide them. Their roots keep them attached.

Our Pope Francis and our Queen Elizabeth’s Archbishop of Canterbury

attempt to bring mercy, peace and healing to this  present

muddled, troubled confused world. Looks like they need every one of us to help them.

RP Sunday the Big Read
Peter Thomas
January 8, 2017

“ITV NEEDS A LITTLE LESS CONVERSATION. ”
PT: “ANOTHER festive season is over, for which we should thank the Lord unreservedly. The decorations that went up on Christmas Eve came down again with unseemly haste, and now the only signs that we were ever touched by the spirit of goodwill are the two cards that fell down behind the sideboard and the bowl of nuts that have been with us since time immemorial.

“First into the green recycle bin was the family newsletter from the only family newsletter that still believes the rest of us want to know their news.

“It was the same old stuff. We’re pleased to hear that they’re renewing their vows (teetering on the brink of divorce) and that little Johnny has excelled academically (reinstated after that unfortunate incident with the school gerbil), but once, just once, we’d like the unvarnished truth.

“Something like: “another year nearly done. Doesn’t time fly when you’ve been growing apart for as long as you can remember and your differences have become irreconcilable? ” ….

JMC: The Christmas stories are there for us all. Matthew and Luke when writing their Gospels began with the birth of Jesus. Luke portrays choirs of angels singing, to introduce the significance of Jesus’s birth. Matthew introduces wise men from afar who came to greet the birth of Jesus, their new king. These stories herald in an early recognition of the greatness of Jesus’ birth.

MOTHER MARY:
Beatles-Let it be [Live,Lyrics]

BAPTISM OF THE LORD:
JMC: Catching up with our own baptism? How can we, do we, catch up with our own baptism if we are Baptised soon after birth?  Like, when we are thinking about what career paths to try.

HEY JUDE:

IMAGINE:

GROWING INTO OUR OWN BAPTISM: ….
Mark, the earliest Gospel writer, begins his story with the adult Jesus’ baptism in the Jordan. That from a humble past that can only be guessed at, Jesus ‘ is called to a unique mission. Jesus’ makes his public beginning as Mark sets out in his Gospel.

THOMAS AQUINAS:
1224/5-1274

Thomistic Philosophy is inspired by the philosophical methods and principles used by Thomas Aquinas (1224/5-1274), a Dominican Friar and Theologian, in his explanation of the Catholic faith. Aquinas, who is most renowned for his Five Ways of Proving the Existence of God, believed that both faith and reason discover truth, a conflict between them being impossible since they both originate in God.

Believing that reason can, in principle, lead the mind to God, Aquinas defended reason's legitimacy, especially in the works of Aristotle. The philosophy of Aquinas continues to offer insights into many lingering problems in Metaphysics, the Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Religion and Ethics.
