BBC BREAKFAST  takes a closer look at safety on the roads, cyclists? What about the horses ? No sign of the vast majority of all motorists sharing the roads with anyone other than themselves. Thoughtless heartless and unaware of the shockingly dangerous predicaments they place other people and their animals lives in on the public highway.

BBC BREAKFAST  take a closer look at Rip-Off  Veterinary Fees. All insurance link up with Vets to rob the animals and their owners. Outrageous working practice fees. eg a tube of ointment that can be purchased at Boots for £2.00, Vets charge £25.00 for. How is it that governments allow these rip off practices to get such a grip? What is this government intending to do about this daylight robbery now?

BBC BREAKFAST celebrating CHARLES DICKENS birthday this morning, introducing us to  Lucinda Dickens - Hawksley,  Charles Dickens  great, great, great, great granddaughter tells us how people identified with Dickens, a unique writer who highlighted the cruel and shocking poverty his character portrayal show through evil character traits and shocking cruelty as the norm. No change there then 200 years on in 2012.

ROYAL MAIL  bosses have marked the occasion today by revealing two of what will be a run of 10 Dickens stamps for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

ANDREW SCUTTS BRINGS US A WEATHER SPECIAL
BRYAN SMART "Hits out over Kempton abandonment ...."We felt we had to go, but it is a farce as everybody was talking about snow all week. The meeting was put on for the levy, not horsemen."

JMC TURFCALL
Just another derelect zone burdened upon the horsemen to include the horses and their owners. Nothing new there then .....

AS RACING POST
"SMART has described as a farce the abandonment of Kempton's replacement fixture yesterday, arguing its late inclusion in the program was a gamble not worth taking because of the weather forecast, and revealing it had hit him and his owners  in the pocket."

"The fixture, arranged after discussions between Kempton, the BHA and Levy Board last Monday, was called off after an 8.00am inspection yesterday, 6cm of snow having fallen over night."

JMC TURFCALL
Typical attitude no need to bother about the horsemen to include the horses and their owners. Perfectly acceptable to carry on taking all of them for granted.

But where would Kempton Park, the BHA and the Levy Board be without the horsemen to include the horses and their owners?

This issue is far worse than an attitude held due to bloodhorse illiteracy, because it shows up just how badly the dictatorial bully boy tactics employed by Kempton Park Management, the BHA,  the Levy Board and the Government .... anybody other than themselves ... are expected to put up with being dictated too, bullied by, and forced by a long outdated dictatorial social structure pecking order that defies all belief.

NEWS - BBC Breakfast this morning.  "Tomorrow is Charles Dickens birthday, two hundred years on, his,  great, great, great grandaughter will appear live on the program
in the morning.  Two hundred years on it is noted we still have the same problems with the banks,  and the cruel divide between the rich and the poor same as way back then. What does this tell us about the British political system?  Not much progress there then  ... 200 years on .......

DAVID PIPE "COPING WITH THE WEATHER SO FAR .....
"WE'RE not starting to panic about the weather just yet. It's been cold and frosty here, but we've escaped any snow so far.

"We're well set up with everything we need  -  the all-weather, the indoor canter and the loose school, so we're going along as normal.

"It's just a little bit harder work but everyone mucks in together and gets on with it. It was hard through the last two bad winters as the horses have to be kept exercised but we always kept going and it pays off in the end.

"We'll be okay if the weather forces a string of abandonments. We go a bit quiet now before Cheltenham and I don't think loosing a few meetings will make much difference to us.

"A few of the novices need another run before the festival but we have until February 26 to get a handicap mark - anything's possible with the weather but I hope we'll be able to find somewhere before then."

WALEY-COHEN JOINS OUR BAND OF OWNERS
"I'M DELIGHTED that Robert Waley-Cohen has  sent us a horse for the first time, which is great news. He's an unraced three-year-old by King's Theatre called STORM LANTERN and is out of a good mare in KATOUNE. He isn't over-big, but he is a lovely, well- mannered individual. The idea is to see if he's good enough to run in France."

RICHARD BIRCH AINTREE:
STEEP DROP IN ENTRIES REFLECTS HIGHER STANDARDS
"AINTREE managing director Julian Thick said that the sharp fall in the number of horses being aimed at the John Smith Grand National is part of the natural evolution of the race and described the entries revealed yesterday as 'top quality'.

"Since 2008, when 150 names were unveiled for the world's most famous steeplechase, entries have shown a steep downward trend and this year's total of 82 is 20 less than 12 months ago. It is the lowest figure since 1996, When the same number of entries were made and only 27 went to post."

ANDREW KING "FESTIVAL CANDIDATES THRILL NICHOLLS."
"Trainer all smiles at Taunton as trio call-up for his Cheltenham team.
BOOKMAKERS and pundits were divided over DILDAR'S victory on his much-anticipated hurdling debut at Taunton yesterday, with several firms clipping him to 10-1 for the JCB Triumph Hurdle while Paddy Power pushed him out two points to 14-1.

JMC TURFCALL

The JCB TRIUMPH HURDLE RACE is a Championship race for novice four-year olds (Grade 1) (Class 1)  over 2m1f. To be run on Friday March 16th and is historically one of the most open races at the festival. With upwards of 20 inexperienced juveniles testing their ability, possibly in hot company and at racing pace, a highly skilled rider is a major factor. As is usual in a Grade 1 Championship race, all horses carry the same weight, in this instance, all horses carry 11st, apart from any fillies who get a 7lb sex allowance.

Recent winners of the Triumph Hurdle have come from the top four in the betting so may pay dividends to concentrate on the market movers in Friday's opener. The most experienced riders best to follow in this, top riders who can aid a young runner just starting out are proved to be the most successful here.  Past winners of this no bigger than 6/1.  Punters in general should be  careful of having a bet in this race. Best perhaps to concentrating on the market movers here.  DILDAR'S preperations fit the criteria, but just how good is he?
