"BRITAIN'S nine - strong Breeders' Cup contingent, headed by THE FUGUE and OLYMPIC GLORY, have arrived safely in Los Angeles, where they are in quarantine before the two- day extravaganza that starts on Friday. They cleared  quarantine Monday afternoon.

"Although THE FUGUE holds an engagement in the Fillies and Mares Turf, where she was an unlucky third 12 months ago, she is more likely to take on the colts in the Turf, for which she is 5-2 market leader with British bookmakers.
"Her first preference is the Turf over a mile and a half against the colts, said trainer John Gosden. "She seems happy in herself when she left. She had a solo breeze on Friday before flying on Saturday . Apart from the length of the journey I'd have been very happy with everything and I'll be trackside Wednesday morning.. "
 
"The post-position draw for all 14 Breeders Cup races took place on Monday evening.
