"DARRYLL HOLLAND, who has not ridden in Britain since June 2013, is hoping to turn the clock back and do a Frankie Dettori in 2016 when he will be stable jockey to Lambourn trainer Charles Hills.
"Holland, who began his career as a 15-year-old with Hill's father Barry, has spent the last two years riding abroad, first in South Korea and then Mauritius. He was approached last week by Hills, who has been without a full-time retained rider since his elder brother Michael retired in 2012.
"The 43-year-old Holland, a multiple Group 1-winning jockey who enjoyed some of the biggest wins of his career aboard the mighty Falbrav, has taken heart from the renaissance of Dettori, whose career appeared to be in decline after he lost his job with Godolphin in 2012.
"He bounced back spectacularly this year, winning the Derby and the Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe aboard Golden Horn, and Holland is hoping to find a superstar of his own among Hill's Team, for Flat Turf Season 2016 (GB).
