"The jump season's coming to an end, and the Flat season is getting going and I'm really looking forward to watching it. In fact, I wouldn't mind riding in a few races looking at the prize-money they race for.

"SATURDAY is Grand National day and hopefully HELLO BUD can sneak in at the bottom of the weights. If it rains he's got a good chance of getting round and he'll give me a good ride.

"As you will have read, Willie is going to have a go on the Flat a little bit as his weight is good at the moment and a few people have suggested he gives it a go.
"He wakes up at around 9st and can easily get down to 8st 7lb with a bit less food as he does intend to eat for two.
SAM from the time he is legged up on HELLO BUD needs to concentrate fully on the task in hand, not get side tracked by everything going on around and about - Sam will need to be reading HELLO BUD like a book, or a dance partnership on Strictly, and visa versa in tune and athletically finely in tune between horse and rider Sam has to get his part absolutely right if HULLO BUD is to succeed, he has to do this to keep HULLO BUD's concentration, a united concentration together if he is to carry out the stiff task in hand, those fences need jumping. There will be a big field, so a rider needs all his wits about him if he is to steer a safe passage throughout, not always possible sometimes, but vital in a race like this, where a sixth sense awareness is key.
The give and take between horse and rider like an elastic tension, needing a super fine
accuracy throughout no matter what, any blunders or heavy handed unbalanced mistakes made by either the horse or the rider need to be avoided at all cost if possible. Good Luck Sam, you can do it, and do it well.
