PRICEWISE will have taken a much closer look at the connections behind each filly due to challenge for this race this afternoon, and has this to say:

"THE Landwades Stud Nell Gwyn is rarely a good pointer to the Qipco 1,000 Guineas any more. (Newmarket Sunday May 6th for 3yo fillies) and that will probably be the case again this year, with the main Classic hopefuls from Godolphin and Ballydoyle absent. ...."

"The best way to find the Nell Gwyn winner these days is to identify a three year old filly who has been aimed at the race and is going to be fully wound up for the day rather than one who may have loftier aspirations as the season goes on ...

SOUND ADVICE  from  Pricewise Tom Segal, what do you think?
Don't miss Pricewise on the Craven Stakes (3yo Colts) in tomorrow's Racing Post.

There are 13 fillies going to post, out of these trainer Mick Channon has three fillies in, so he has three chances of winning. Godolphin Mahmood Al Zarooni has two fillies whereas the other trainers have just one filly entry each. All bar ESENTEPE, MINIDRESS and REGAL REALM are entered in the Qipco 1,000 Guineas.

There are eight fillies who have had considerable experience as two year olds.
There are two who have only had their debut run, one of these is STARSCOPE trained by John Gosden to be partnered by WILLIAM BUICK (am 9-2). The other is MUAAMARA trained by Mick Channon to be partnered by SAM HITCHCOTT (AM 16-1)

The highest rated filly is SUNDAY TIMES (126) trained by Peter Chapple - Hyam partner TOM QUEALLY (am 15-2)

It will be interesting to see how this race pans out to be. Who are the market movers later on. And afterwards a revelation to the trainers with runners. What do you think?
