We are truly grateful to everyone
We are truly grateful to everyone
I AM writing on behalf of all the team at
Warren Place
to express our sincere gratitude following all the kindness shown to us since
Henry died.
We have received so many lovely cards,
letters and emails in the past fortnight and we are truly grateful to everyone
for taking the time to get in touch.
The support we received around our
runners at Royal Ascot was wonderful and I will never forget how kind everyone
was in what was an emotional week.
While I don't like to single out
individuals I feel I must give a special thank you to Charles Barnett and his
team at Ascot . They could not do enough to
help us before and during their fantastic meeting and it was very touching that
the Queen's Vase was this year run in Henry's memory. Henry adored all of Royal
Ascot and had a special fondness for the staying races, in particular the Gold
Cup and the Queen's Vase.
I would also like to thank the media for
the warmth in their coverage of Henry.
There have been so many lovely tributes,
not least in the Letters page of the Racing Post, with people writing in to
share some marvellous recollections of meetings with, and stories about, Henry.
We have appreciated, as well, the
sympathy shown by so many people following Thomas Chippendale's death in the
immediate aftermath of his victory in the Hardwicke Stakes. Thankyou to all
those who sent in letters and cards.
Indeed, we just want to say a big
thankyou to everyone for the effection and support extended to Warren Place in the
last few weeks. It has meant a lot to all of us.
Warren Place , Newmarket
