David Baxter brings news:
"Death of Michael Scudamore, head of a jumping dynasty dies aged 81." Page 4

"MICHAEL SCUDAMORE, who won the Grand National in 1959 aboard Oxo and the Cheltenham Gold Cup in 1957 partnering Lindwell."
"Paying tribute to his father, Peter Scudamore said: "He was a hero to us. They were tough men then. He rode in a 40-runner novice chase round Hereford and said when he had a fall his helmet hit the floor before he did as there were no straps in those days. They were just a different generation of toughness and without him and the other people of his era, National Hunt racing wouldn't be held in such regard that it is today and I'd never want to forget the legacy they left us."  JMC: Neither would I, Wonderful wonderful true horsemen.

LETTERS SACRED SUNDAY JULY 6.

"Wrong to punish the owner with steroid ban" .

Bill Gredley
Stetchworth, Newmarket.
British and Global political, legal, racecourse and horseracing government fail this sport miserably on all fronts and have gotten away with this shocking neglect over the last six decades.

The highly dangerous bloodhorse illiterate British stewards with no active working Equus Zone in place. No Active Racing Rights Zone in place. No Active Equus Racing Rights Zone in place; Government people who couldn't care less if horses and their daily handler riders loose their lives or come home with shocking injuries, all caused by bloodhorse illiterate governments.

Government people who couldn't care less if racehorse's lives get battered and shattered when racing,  returning home in agony, if at all. Anabolic steroid medication really work fast to ease pain in badly damaged joint injury as they sooth and take away the inflammation, and in doing so aid healing fast.  What is wrong with that? This whole Anabolic Steroid issue has flared up through total mismanagement of a badly misunderstood  sport. Innocent parties have lost their livelihood because of Rip Off Britain governments who use dishonest scaremongering  and fraudulent
"Lip Service" . These government people are impostors.

British political, legal, racecourse and horseracing government have done exceedingly well financially out of what they term to be their multi-billion pound horseracing industry. Which government term to be at the same time a "Welfare Charity" . What sort of a "Welfare Charity" is this?" A fraudulent scam of a  "Welfare Charity?" . No true bloodhorse literate Equus Zone. No true Equus Racing Rights Zone.

To focus here on only three yearly race meetings: That take place on the following three racecourses all of which happen to belong to the British Jockey Club.

The British Jockey Club which Government through their Office Of Fair Trading removed from regulating this sport not so long ago. Due to the government Office Of Fair Trading finding a conflict of interest between the Jockey Club owning so many racecourses themselves, and regulating this sport at the same time.

These three racecourses all belong to the Jockey Club.

The Cheltenham Festival Meeting (Jumps Turf) What is their gross income?

The Aintree Grand National Meeting (Jumps Turf) What is their gross income?

The Derby Festival Epsom Meeting (Flat Turf) What is their gross income?

Why is their no financial provision made by these three racecourses to pay all those who belong in the true Equus Zone and who work on these racecourses every day minding the runners, without which these three racecourses would have no business at all.
