"KAUTO STAR retirement talk premature says Nicholls
"KAUTO STAR could still return to racing next season after Paul Nicholls yesterday said talk of retirement was "very premature" and that a decision on the record- breaking chaser's future would wait until July"

"The champion trainer added that the struggles and disappointments of Cheltenham, including KAUTO STAR being pulled up in the Gold Cup, had been placed in perspective when  his 15-month old daughter Zara was hospitalised over the weekend suffering from a serious virus."

JMC TURFCALL COMMENT
Following RUBY WALSH pulling KAUTO up early on in the Cheltenham Gold Cup on  Friday March 16th.  Following KAUTO'S nasty fall whilst jumping practice prep at home pre- the Gold Cup.
That KAUTO whilst tackling the big chase fences at Cheltenham in this actual race when asked to fully stretch by RUBY undoubtably caused KAUTO'S injury to resurfaced, the reason why Ruby pulled him up.  KAUTO'S injury tweeked again. There is absolutely no reason why  KAUTO STAR once healed cannot return to his true form, compete again, and perform better than ever to win again.

A falacy to take the view that  Kauto Star be retired and turned out in a field to spend his retirement in bliss.
