Is
CAMELOT a good thing for the Investec Derby? (Sat June 2nd)
No wonder O'Brien felt nervous during the countdown
to this race. CAMELOT came through late in the hands of Joseph O'Brien, from way off the pace to win the 2,000
Guineas, but only just by a whisper. We haven't seen the best of this colt yet.
Can
AL KAZEEM make his mark in the best middle-distance races this season?
AL
KAZEEM has interesting breeding, looks like he has grown well, perhaps this
year as a 4yo he can really show his true colours in changing all those seconds
as a 3yo into firsts as a 4yo. An interesting colt to follow. With the Charlton Team in form at present.
Can
MAYSON progress into a Group 1 Sprinter? (to run at York May 16-18)
Yes keep your eye on sprinter MAYSON sire INVINCIBLE
SPIRIT - SPIRIT MAYLEAF.
(same sire as BORN TO SEA)
INVINSIBLE SPIRIT STANDS AT THE IRISH NATIONAL STUD
How
do you rate HOMECOMING QUEEN'S chances in the Oaks?
HOMECOMING QUEEN won the 1,000 Guineas over 1m yesterday by 9 lengths ... will she get 1m4f Oaks trip? She clearly didn't mind the going, she is in the right bloodhorse literate hands to give her every chance to win the British Oaks.
Did
anything else catch your eye this weekend?
Yes NOBLE MISSION
3 8-12 partner TOM QUEALLY, FRANKEL'S full brother (4yo). Won 4.55 Newmarket Listed race over 1m2f last Saturday trained by Sir Henry Cecil,
won, by a whisper 7-4f - pleasing Sir Henry.

CECIL TRAINS NOBLE MISSION
FOR OWNER
KHALID
ABDULLAH
This is what Sir Henry said about this colt after
he won the 4.55 Newmarket Stakes over 1m2f at Newmarket last Saturday .
"It
was a funny race, as they crawled and then sprinted, and he did well to win really,
"he's learning and improving, but he'll need another race before we decide
where we go.
"He's
in the Dante, or he could comeback here for another race later this month and
the timing of that one works out well."
"It
would be lovely to think he's a Derby
horse or a Royal Ascot horse but there's a little way to go yet," added
Sir Henry.
