"LAMBOURN came to a standstill yesterday as an
estimated 1,250 people gathered at a thanksgiving service to say farewell, with
a mix of tears and laughter, to one of its favourite sons, John Hills

overflowing, around 300 stood outside to listen to the 70-minute service via
loudspeakers.
"Hills, who died at the age of
53, was an avid aviation enthusiast and there was the most appropriate send-off for the popular trainer when, later

the duties of what they term to be their British Stud and Stable Staff Groom set-up?
A Groom? What does government believe are the
jobs that their 'Racehorse Groom' is to carry out?
Someone who comes in at
evening stables for two hours or so to groom the racehorses in training? Perhaps
a superstore shelf stacker to come in part time to be paid the minimum wage to
do this job for government? Not for the licensed trainer? What about all the other jobs?
Do the government know what the other jobs are exactly?
