‘Hard done by’ De Sousa calls for review of whip rules. "

“AN AGGRIEVED Silvestre de Sousa claims he has been unfairly punished with a two-day ban for hitting a horse when clearly winning, a punishment that resulted in a lengthy totting-up sentence.

“His fifth whip offence of the year, imposed after he won the Mill Reef Stakes on Toocoolforschool , triggered a referral to the BHA disciplinary panel, which last Thursday issued a suspension of 21 days (seven of which were deferred) , ruling him out of British Champions Weekend.

“It has been a testing period for De Sousa, who has had a share in the Godolphin rides this summer. He is also a risk to being put on the forfeit list in Dubai over a demand for £200,000 costs following an appeal against another riding ban. Toocoolforschool made all to win at Newbury by seven lengths and was struck six times as he stretched clear.
“I think no common sense was shown at all,” said De Sousa, who picked up another two day last Wednesday for not riding out for fourth place.
“What are we meet to do on a horse on soft ground when you’re making the running? I was just trying to keep him going forward, as he was looking around. If I’d dropped my hands I could have got cought on the line and got done.

“”I think I was hard done by. I have seen other jockeys hit horses ten times, get two days and not win. I hit a horse five times in a Group 2 and they have done me for one hit over that, which leads to 14 days totting up. I think it’s discrimination. Your not meant to be looking around in a six-furlong race. I knew I was close to totting up. The rules should be reviewed.”
“As it was the second year running he has been referred for whip misuse and it has taken him less time and fewer rides, the disciplinary panel said his mitigation evidence was “extinguished”.
“However, Toocoolforschool’s trainer Karl Burke said the sentence was harsh. “There’s a limit of smacks and if he’d gone over that I could fully understand it, but he was underneath the permitted amount.
“It was a two- year- old who had cheekpieces on because he’s a little spooky. I said to Silvestre to commit early and really go for him, and that’s the way he rode him. He actually put his stick down inside the final furlong and then gave him one more flick just to make sure he got home.
“If that’s the ride that triggered his 21 days, then it’s harsh. “

British political, legal, financial, racecourse and horseracing government do not allow true bloodhorse literate whip rules. Instead in Britain we have bloodhorse illiterate fake, scam whip rules that have been in place since October 2011 a placement made in error by government employee Paul Bittar.  An abuse burdened upon the racehorses themselves and the people who work with the racehorses every day and the jockeys-riders who partner the racehorses in competition on racetracks around the world every day
Veterinary, RSPCA and handymen personnel are what they say they are, they are not true horsemen,. and have absolutely no right to take a job that is beyond their scope, specifically to prepare New Whip Rules for British Horseracing.

It is the horse that shows the jockey-rider when a response such as the use of the whip needs to come into play, not government impostors sitting down indoors.

‘Hard done by’ De Sousa calls for review of whip rules" .

Absolutely.  De Sousa has every right to kick this government error out. De Sousa sets out exactly what has happened clearly, and no way can such as this be ignored it is a very serious miscarriage of justice indeed and not only in this country, but around the world.

It is a Criminal Act to collude with others to exploit young blooodhorse literate achievers careers in the saddle in anyway, financial or otherwise. A government found to be colluding with others to deliberately deceive other people are committing a Criminal Act.
