“MOVING SUCCESS FOR KOUKASH WITH OUR JONATHAN."
"SO POIGNANT I wanted this horse to win more than anything else.”

"TRIUMPH was mixed with tragedy for the second day in a row as OUR JONATHAN scored a highly poignant victory in the 6f William Hill  Ayr Gold Cup.

“The previous afternoon it had been jockey DOMINIC  FOX fighting back the tears following his comeback win after loosing his father and coming close to death himself. A day later Dr Marwan Koukash was left wrestling with his feelings after winning Scotland’s biggest Flat race, thrilled that his high class sprinter had bounced right back to his best, just as REDFORD had done for him 12 months earlier.

“Almost overcome with emotion as he recalled how the horse came to be called OUR JONATHAN, named after his brother-in-law’s son, who died tragically while playing football at the age of just 15. The 11-1 shot positively cruised home in the final furlong to foil a massive gamble on 6-1 favourite ETON RIFLES  by a most emphatic two lengths.
