JMC Turfcall Comment
BRITISH BLOODHORSE LITERACY ZONE

There have been a number of Whip Suspensions given out by the British Bloodhorse Illiterate Government (BHA) over the last month or so. All such referrals relating to the Bloodhorse Literacy Zone if there was one, for correction.

BLOODHORSE LITERACY ZONE

Any licensed handler rider found to abuse a horse in a race with a whip, in order to win
that race has broken the British Bloodhorse Literacy Rules.

BLOODHORSE IILLITERATE ZONE

When a whip suspension is given out by the bloodhorse illiterate British Horseracing Government of one week or more, the person receiving such a ban, is to spend such a ban

booked in for that week at one of the two British Racing Schools for correction. And for correction of attitude if necessary. To be paid for by the British Horseracing Bloodhorse Literacy Zone if and when there is one.

DAVID ASHFORTH

On Saturday July 28th David  writes in the RP  "Photo-finishes, just like sherbet fountains, aren't what they used to be." Accompanied by a photograph of a dead-heat in the Irish St Leger - a rarity ..."

J MARGARET CLARKE TURFCALL COMMENT

The question is are these present British bloodhorse illiteracy  rules on photo-finishes right? Or wrong?

We have seen recently several photo-finishes too close to  call,  giving a winner by such
as a " short short nose"  (ssn) with two horses upsides fighting their hearts out to the line, in such situations and related to British Bloodhorse Literate cases (which this is) that anything under a neck should be called a dead heat.

The feeling has to be that to win a race by a neck is an outright winner. But anything shorter is a dead heat. A dead heat should mean the first and second prize money are added together and then shared half each in equal parts by the two horses connections. Punters need to know this, in their case, the bookmakers to pay out on two  horses both winners of a dead-heat. (this a  bloodhorse literate ruling)

J Margaret Clarke Turfcall Comment

NOTE: To take the bridle ...
This means that MAXIME GUYON gets the leg up to ride GOLDEN LILAC in this race, and in doing so, once in the saddle takes the reins of the bridle of GOLDEN LILAC.

MAXIME GUYON to be able to take the bridle and to ride  GOLDEN LILAC  on the bridle in this race once in the saddle, needs to be accurately in tune with GOLDEN LILAC  at all times. In tune musically  as understood by Lord  Andrew Lloyd Webber as he seeks the superstars for his fabulous musical productions,  his aim to bring  joy to the audience.

Whereas  MAXIME'S  in tune, partnership with GOLDEN LILAC this afternoon, a different sort of in tune perspective, to compete at this level  is a highly skilled  work of art.  Not only from the perspective of  the handler rider, MAXIME but also from the perspective of  GOLDEN LILAC,  she needs to be as athletically fit as  licensed trainer Andre Fabre knows she needs to be, to win this race.

From MAXIME'S perspective he needs to be as finely in tune with GOLDEN LILAC  as it is possible for him to be, he also needs to be as supremely, athletically fit himself.  Once in the saddle his finely tuned balance, timing and agility are vital  if  a polished performance  is to be achieved.
Perspective? Who's perspective?

This is  a highly skilled balancing act between
GOLDEN LILAC and MAXIME GUYON make no mistake.
