SANDOWN PARK YESTERDAY
WIN: ROZ  2  8 -12 partner JIM COWLEY handler presenter? trainer Harry Dunlop for Mrs Mary-Anne Parker  28-1  from SAVANNA LA MAR 13-2  distance one and three quarter  lengths.
What did you observe about this race?

Trainer Harry Dunlop

Harry had this to say after ROZ won "ROZ has gone from ordinary form to proper form. I'm thrilled to get black type for this filly, but there are no plans - there is a Group 3 for her at Goodwood but we will sit and see."

JMC Turfcall observation
ROZ
Eight two year old fillies challenged for this race, with ROZ partner JIM CROWLEY kicking smartly from stalls to show the other 7 runners a clean pair of heels. throughout. No problem.

This was ROZ third race, she has learned a lot to date, but she has much more still to learn.. The handler rider with her every day at home is key to her wellbeing, and as to what sort of a ride ROZ gave JIM CROWLEY in this race.

JMC Turfcall observation

A top professional bloodhorse literate handler rider  as Jim Crowley will know immediately upon getting the leg up on a racehorse as to how easy or how difficult she is to ride, by how she responds to Jim's direction when cantering to the start. Maybe Jim has already ridden ROZ at home and knows her well already.  But if not Jim will be feeling his way carefully along with her, to achieve an in tune performance.

We have noted how carefully Team Cecil, have been with FRANKEL  throughout his racing career to date. That their aim has always been to settle and calm him, not to fizz him up.  FRANKEL'S temperament, he can very quickly fizz himself up if not handled the right way.  Things can so quickly go wrong if the handling and riding at home is not spot on.
