BALDING (Bloodhorse L iterate) was yesterday unveiled as the new face of Channel 4 Racing as
terrestrial television coverage of the sport prepares to undergo radical change
from the end of the year.
C4 JOHN (Mac) McCRIRICK (Punters Champion) "If they offer me a job, I'll be there and pleased to take it."
"CLARE BALDING takes over as
lead presenter on January 1st after IMG Sports Media was awarded a four - year
production contract by the commercial broadcaster, which holds the rights to
all racing's 'crown jewels' from 2013.
Balding said "I am absolutely thrilled
that Channel 4 has asked me to be part of its new racing team.. Racing is my
'home' sport and I'm delighted that I will stay part of its coverage on
TV."
