“SOLE POWER is as short as 2-1 to cap a memorable season with
victory in the Qatar Prix de L’Abbaye at Longchamp on Sunday after the news
that two of his biggest rivals , including anti-post favourite Tiggy Wiggy,
will not be making the trip to Paris after all.
Tiggy Wiggy’s absence leaves Richard Hughes, who would have had
to take draconian measures to get down to anywhere near her 8st 4lb’s weight ,
free to renew his Group 1 association with Sole Power on whom he threaded a
path to victory in the King Stands and Nunthorpe this season.
Richard Hannon revealed Tiggy Wiggy is not going to challenge in
Paris on Sunday for the Abbaye. “She’s not going and that’s her done for the
season. She puts a lot into her races and I think she’s done enough. “
